My time at Surrey made me see my strengths and my willpower to succeed, however hard at times I felt the various pressures around me.

Surrey helped me become more comfortable in my knowledge and abilities, guiding me out of my comfort zone to stress and improve some of my weaker skills in a controlled environment." 

I was a member of the Formula Student Society in my final year as well as working on it as my group project. This is a great way to really get involved in designing like you would in the real world.

Life at Surrey offers the perks of a lifestyle in a small city with easy access to countryside and greenery.

Overall, this programme helped me understand what I want as a person and as a professional, and it helped show me what my career can look like, as well as how I can lead it myself.

One of the great benefits of our masters courses – especially for international students – is their flexibility. On graduation day, we caught up with Inacio Lote Gimo, who studied for an MSc Electronic Engineering part-time from his home in Mozambique, with regular visits to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ campus.

Our PhD students go on to a wide range of careers, from postdoctoral research posts to exciting roles in industry. On graduation day, we caught up with Andrew Oxley who studied for a Mathematics PhD at Surrey and is now working in financial modelling for Nationwide building Society.

Many of our international students use the knowledge they gain from their masters course to help solve challenges in their home countries. At graduation day we caught up with Tuntika Lektanerkski who studied on our MSc Renewable Energy Systems Engineering before returning to Thailand.
