The opportunity to do a Professional Training placement was a huge part of why I chose to come to Surrey, particularly because it’s relatively unique for a BA (Hons) English Literature course." 

My course has been challenging and engaging; however, when I finish my degree I’ll have eight exemptions from the professional ACA exams, which aids employability.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ proved to be a great place to live, experience new things and develop myself further - both personally and professionally.

I enjoy learning in-depth about behaviours in the workplace, some of which I used to take for granted.

I’m passionate about hospitality and tourism and my PhD enables me to learn more in the process.

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ is an exciting place to study, everyone I have met in the School of Hospitality and Tourism embodies hospitality.

I am lucky to have a supervisor who is charismatic both in his area of expertise and in his character and personality.

The main thing I learnt on placement was never to be afraid to ask. Everyone you ever work with had to start off somewhere.
